Scala just announced in a press release that it will be introducing the new Bridge Server 2.5 at ISE 2011. Highlights of the new features include:
An exciting new feature in Bridge Server 2.5 is the support for interactive shelf-edge applications with IAdea’s latest 10-inch digital signboard XDS-104. Its built-in touch buttons send out event triggers that can be programmed via Scala Content Manager to facilitate simple data collection, as well as complex content navigation. In addition, Bridge Server 2.5 adds support for IAdea’s new 15-inch, 18.5-inch and 24-inch digital signboards — all-in-one integrated systems that combine displays with built-in media players.
The highlight of new devices enabled by Bridge Server 2.5 is the XMP-340 media appliance, capable of showing live NTSC/PAL audio/video signal in combination with RSS crawls and graphics. With an external TV tuner box, live television can also be played back in one of the frames on screen. The device is suitable for deployment in sports stadiums, live performance halls, auditoriums and church/local assemblies for the distribution of live event and performance throughout the venue.
